Thank you coleman!! just did a screen share and he helped me fix the error that was preventing it from working. stupid error too. it works great now, and i dont have to get a sling box!! :D:D:D

Nonsense. Pages is perfectly capable of serving as a everyday word processor outside of "consumer" environment, and Keynote whacks the poop out of PowerPoint for presentations.

Have you tried setting reminders/alarms in iCal.
Works well for me.
I tried using iCal when I first switched over in '06. I integrated my Google calendar with it, but stopped using it because I often access my calendar in places other than my home computer. So I stuck with Google calendar and its "cloud" capabilities.
I know I can get MobileMe to access my iCal anywhere, but I rather not pay for a service when there's free (though shoddy like google cal) alternatives out there.
Works well for me.

Does your iMac have a CD-burner? Ejection is the normal behaviour of a CD-ROM-only drive when blank writable media is inserted.

I didn't lose any. You can force iTunes to get brand new album art for your entire collection. See this (http://theubergeeks.net/2006/09/13/new-album-art/)

Also, do not do this if you have one-of-a-kind album art or you have scanned in album art, or even if you have albums in your collection from local bands that you�ve spent 8 weeks trying to find album art for them. Why is it that the iPad and the iPhone have great Sync with the iMa, but the small drive MBA has no Sync. Both the MBA and the iPad can be 64GB. Since one cannot cram a 1 Terabyte drive into 64GB of the MBA, there is a need for the Sync.

It's hard to fathom just how high the Twin Towers stood. You could look up and just be in awe.
I've never actually been to NY but seeing some of the highrises in my city, I can only begin to imagine just the sight of seeing both towers collapse in a spectacular cloud of smoke and tremendous cacophony of twisted metal beams and hailstorm of glass.

Hopefully they will release Iphone 5 this fall. My 3gs is getting slow but it still works, could be the software but the overall design needs a refreshment.
I refuse to buy the Iphone 4 because it's about a year old now, to buy an Iphone 4 now is just plain stupid.

So Office 2004 AppleScript can translate VB on the fly (and 2007 VB can translate AppleScript), or that's the goal and we aren't there yet?
Unfortunately, no. It needs someone (an AppleScripter who knows VBA) to do the translating. But time will tell if some of this can be done instead in the XML, which would be cross-platform for the new files.

My wife had called me after the first plane hit and told me to find a TV. At the time, I was considering it a mehanical problem with the plane that somehow lead it there.. tragic, but not malicious. My wife agreed. As I was standing down in the waiting room watching the coverage, the second plane hit. I knew right then that it was not what I thought it was.

If you have an intel Mac then you may be able to use crossover (http://www.codeweavers.com/products/download_trial_macosx/) to get the windows drivers for the XboX controller to work under Mac OS X. I have used it to make the windows drivers for my Logitech Precision Gamepad to work and it is flawless for that purpose.

I hate how you have to download the entire OS every time there's a small update like this. 666MB for a few bug fixes... Also, what's up with the 666MB? Maybe we should stay away from this update guys lol.

A new designed iPhone in 2011 shouldn't be expected. Far too early too be bored with the iPhone 4.
Unless you're in the 1% of geeks or one of those "OMG I'll die if a new iPhone doesn't come out" spoiled kids out there who need new phone's, ipads, OS's, UI's every few months.
Spec bump in redesign in 2012 - that's one to bet on.

The symptoms have changed, slightly.
I finally got my hands on a different battery, a fresh one, put it in the computer and the light rings lit up yellow and the computer started charging, so it is, apparently capable of charging a battery as long as it sees it.
But... when it reached full charge, instead of turning green, the light shut off.
I swapped out battery again, and yellow light came on, it charged up, but this time, it stays yellow even when the battery is fully charged.
So... it appears to be something with the AC light ring circuit. Since the computer is controlling that (it behaves the same with different power cords, so it's not the power cord), is the light ring control circuit on the DC-in power jack circuit board? Or is it elsewhere?

Exciting.. now if only the Finder got it's "plumbing" re-routed. :rolleyes:
If someone had a great idea about how Finder should look and work, it might be improved. However, since the plumbing is behind the scenes and that's been re-done a lot, it wouldn't help to simply re-route it again.
