If you're on a budget then look into a DIY stabilizer. Google or check out the DIY section of DVXUser for advice/instructions. It shouldn't be too hard to get something decent to control such a small camera.

If you do decide to swap out the logicboard from a newer/faster iMac, keep in mind there are two 500mhz boards out there...the DV SE which has the older 8mb Rage chip and the later models which have the 16mb chip. I'd look for a 600 or 700mhz board to be safe.

90% of my work is done in PhotoShop. Without it I'd be lost. So I'd have to say Adobe. Now if only I could get my company to drop Quark for InDesign . . .

Yeah i have :) it doesnt. Its a cheap 15" analogue TFT from about 3 years ago.
I think i've got enough desk space for another 15".. might look into that. One with DVI, as that would be cool when i'm writing music :D

Not sure if I'll pick it up...I have it for the NGC, and its a great game. Never beat it, but not sure if the Wii Remote add on would make it all that much better.

Me too. It only sent video. However, my sister who has a Mac Mini was using one and said in her iDVD software for audio you had to tell it to push the audio through the Mini Display port/HDMI and then she got sound, so maybe that would work on my MBP and yours.
If you have an iPad2, I highly highly recommend getting the HDMI adapter they have. 1 to 1 exact copy of your iPad onto your big screen TV. Makes the Apple TV not necessary as you can get what you get on it and more through your iPad2 to HDMI.
I also bought a 15' HDMI cable so I can have my iPad2 with me on my couch. But I digress.

PS2, not PSP... and wouldnt a mini PS2 have the same size cds so that all the games that have been released to date are compatible. Although, with my experience, burnt media will usually not play in playstations, burnt cds are simply a no go, and burnt dvds are a toss up.
If you want to listen to MP3s CD or DVDs, just get a cheap dvd player, you can even get DivX DVD players, my friend got a no namer for $100 CDN... and I got a Yahama DivX DVD player for $200 CDN...
Actually, i have been able to play burnt audio cds in my ps2 (I think it is a v4). I was also able to install a media player onto my memeroy card so i can play cds with divx movies and mp3 files on my ps2, but not cds burnt with my PB. Nero created cds work fine.
*Note: what I did does not require a mod chip, but does require alot of patiece to get the cds write.

In my experience, they show you a video about how great it is to work in retail and then make you do some dumb role playing exercises and then you go home and never hear from them again.

Client uses Quark 8.5 and wants files in this format, so I've downloaded the trail version of Quark 9. How do I save this back? I had a poke about and figured file > export > layouts as project > pick version 8. Will this work in 8.5?

TRIM and Capsule Rebel are great cases. If you go for the TRIM make sure your order the black one, because the colored ones will stain within days if you are not careful.

Sure, so basically after you've done step 6, your ipod or iphone should have a black screen. This is because it is in iREB's special dfu mode. After that, you must put it into dfu mode again manually. Hold both the power and home button at the same time untill you hear a usb sound from your computer. When that sound comes let go of the power button and keep holding the home button and wait for the second usb sound. Now your done step 8.

I see you got FCP in your sig, i use Premiere CS5 and Photoshop you suggest the drobo would be good stuff like that? I have checked out the drobo before, they do look good. I just need something i can remote into and control when im away kick off downloads etc...as the server will be headless (no monitor)

I wonder if cuda would run on the 9400? graphics chip? that would help get some extra ppd. Too bad you can't change graphics boards in that monster iMac, it seems like it could use faster graphics for that large monitor.
