The dump command runs as root. Do you actually run the database as root with all file owned by root? Most people would make a special user just for the databse. If you are setup like that then perhaps you should run the dump as that user.
I don't use mysql but other DBMSes will refuse to run under root as that is to dangerous

I'm laying money on the USS Missouri (BB-11) before the cage masts were fitted.
No, that pic is way pre WW2. That's around WW1 by the looks of it.

Is there an easy way in R to change the variables in a column, say 'blue' 'red' and 'green' to 1, 2, and 3?
Thanks,

What port does the stereo need and what cable do I need to be able to use a stereo with airport express?
Any other ideas on what you guys would buy?

Ha, that's sweet! It would be cool if you could have the Snow Leopard background layered on top of it, but have it be opaque so you could still see the "guts".
That might be worth trying. We'll see what a little photoshop can do and if it turns out good I'll post later.

What different types can a subscript be? For example, when I was learning BASIC (we use stone knives and bearskins in those days), and expression like "A(X)", where A was the array and X was the index, was verbalized as "A sub X". X was the subscript.

Thought it would be nice to mark the day with asking people to recall where they were at the time when they heard what was going on in New York and Washington... and to spare a minute to remember all those who were touched by these disasters
It was a hot sunny day in London, just after 2pm. I was off work and was at home having an afternoon nap but the radio was playing softly, tuned to a BBC news network. I woke up to hear the announcer saying something about a fire in the World Trade Center... turned on the television to see that the BBC had already gone to ABC's live feed. Sat and watched the next few hours with amazement and horror then had to go over to friend's house which I was house-sitting at the time to check up on things... I will never forget the expressions on the faces of those I saw walking in the streets of London that evening rush-hour.

I can't believe AT&T still won't unlock iPhones: In the UK, O2 will unlock anyone's contract phone for free (you just need to ask), and a PAYG one for 15 (plus the loss of the free web bolt on you get for the first 12 months).
Indeed, AT&T should be doing it especially once the 2 year contract has expired-- as should Apple themselves.
Furthermore, Apple should be selling factory unlocked iPhones in the US.

I'm doubtful there will be an update to the 27inch cinema display for sometime:
1) If history is any judge, this line always get infrequent updates and the last one was fairly recent (Buyer's guide can be misleading as "updates" were really price-drops/dropping of models).
2) Thunderbolt (TB) fully supports the current cinema display as it can be used at the end of the daisy chain.
3) Only the MacBook pro's support TB and I'd imagine that the cinema displays will get it last i.e. expect updates to the Mac Pro, iMac, Mac Mini first.
4) Rumours suggest that Apple might intend on giving us a "retina" cinema display. It's just too soon for such a display! I'd imagine sometime next year... The cinema display just doesn't get updates this frequently i.e. one now, one next year.
With that said, I'd love to be proved wrong and Apple to update it!

...something to help keep my vector skills sharp and maybe it will even yield some possible portfolio pieces?
Well, yeah, that too. Always good to keep things ticking over. Now and then, I do free/pro-bono work for small charities and non-profits in order to contribute something useful to communities, to keep me from becoming too stale, to network and build up recommendations etc. One or two pieces from that have ended up in various portfolios over the years as well.
If I'm doing work for free, then I'd rather spend it doing real-world exercises, working with briefs and clients towards a mutual goal, instead of doing stuff for myself.

If they really do discontinue the 12" and do not replace it, there just might be a price drop.

no one seems to be pointing out that they got rid of educational pricing for iPods... that's a bummer.
It is fair to point out that they did drop the price on the big ipods and increased storage on the nanos. Pretty good deal.

Those 2 mentioned were the lower default resolutions and I believe the others were 1280 x 720, 1280 x 768, 1368 x 768. I like the 1280 x 720 but most recent games only get maybe 8 - 15 fps at that resolution.

I don't think that will work. The MacPro uses ECC (error checking) ram. What you're looking at is Non-ECC . Here is a link to Crucial's 2010 Quad Mac Pro page. I've used them quite a few times and have never had any issues.
The link is to the U.S. Site but you can click over to the EU or British site in the upper right corner.
I hope you find this more helpful than the last post

Ok so heres the deal I have a 2010 Macbook, with Windows XP installed through parallels and Windows cannot recognize my disk drive on my Macbook. Is there anyway for me to make it recognize it. Well frankly I don't know if its recognizing it or not... I tried to play a game for windows using it and when I started the game it said please insert disc. So I took the disc out and put it back in. Still nothing, any help?
In Parallels as well as any other virtual machine software, you have to tell it to assign the disk to the VM. That process should be in the help screens or manual. I don't use Parallels, but use VMware and VirtualBox. They all have that function.

Wait, you got Rogers to unlock your iPhone?! Is this a new policy or did u get lucky?
Yes, how did you work that out? I've been in Australia for months and I've pleaded with Rogers to unlock my phone while I'm here. They refuse to do it unless I pay $400 to end my contract and another $100 for the unlock. I've been using Rogers for over 8 years and they still won't help me out.
Never again will I use another Rogers service after this whole fiasco. They are a bunch of jerks.
