I'm going to be out there... Question is when should I get there. I spoke with Apple Store and they said the Mall opens its doors at 7am. They open the foodcourt doors first. You know what that means... A/C at 7am.
Line to start outside FoodCourt asap. Let me know if anyone else is going, lets Meetup!

Just please never give me a parallax 3D screen on my iPhone, or it'll induce vomiting. Until I can walk around in a 3D world and my brain doesn't know the difference between that virtual world and the real one, please let me stick with 2D!

Not quite as idyllic as it sounds I'm afraid, though it should be nice! We're going to a business conference at West Palm Beach and we'll have a day there before it starts plus most of the last day to travel back to MIA, only about 80 miles. There are two national parks near MIA but places need to be reasonably accessible by car as we won't have any proper walking gear with us.
Anyone know this area and can recommend places to visit (and photograph of course)? I've not been there before and would like to make the most of it.
Given the location, I'm thinking a polarising filter would be a good investment. I don't have one at the moment as I haven't had a suitable lens until recently.
Any other tips? Many thanks!

Why use OpenOffice on a Mac? NeoOffice Aqua is the way to go on a Mac.
As for "Lasso", I assume that isn't the final name; OmniPilot Software, maker of the Lasso programming language (which is supposedly popular on Macs) would probably complain.

Gus: I thought about storing them as both music and data (I've got room right now, as I've only got around 9GB of music), but I decided that wouldn't work well as a long-term solution.
As of right now, I'm keeping a "data" copy of all of the music on my old external hard drive for backup purposes.

This has probably been asked before but I couldn't find a specific situation that directly related to mine. I have a 32GB USB flash drive. I have a MBP. I want to plug my USB flash drive in, drag the iTunes music to the flash drive, remove the flash drive, plug it into my new mac, open iTunes on the new mac, drag and drop the iTunes album from the flash drive to the into the iTunes library. Is this possible? Will they transfer over properly? I want to make sure I get my album art with the music. Any help is greatly appreciated!

The small adapter is required to power the drive. miniSAS is data only, so you still need power.
The miniSAS cable connects the controller with the hard drives.
I see, thanks. So I take it without these adapters I can't use any 3rd party RAID solution for HDD's in the four internal bays as by default the hard drives in those bays just connect to the internal PCB channels and SATA power which are both located on the backplane? but with the adapter (for power only) it creates some space causing the HDD to be not plugged into the DATA PCB channels, thus allowing to connect the SAS cables from the controller into the hard drive sata ports.

RIP for Mr. C and Billingsly. :( (even though both were long before my time, I was familiar with them)

I am planning to attend the Apple store launch event. I'm still unsure of what time I will arrive. It will likely be sometime after lunch. I hope that those of us arriving in the afternoon aren't late to the party.
I distinctly remember people lining up for Xbox, Wii, and PS3 launches hours and hours ahead of time.... like 8 to 12 hours ahead of time.....
Surely that's not the case here?

I just completed the same setup as you yesterday.
I had no problem moving my iTunes library (music, movies, etc.) to the HDD in the optibay and just pointing iTunes to the new location. Also, some Mac apps require that you install them on the system drive, but for the others, you can just move the app to the HDD and create an alias to that app to put in your applications folder on your SSD so it will act like any other app.
I don't think you will actually be able to delete your actual home folders from the SSD, but you can certainly store documents, etc. on you HDD.

Unless you're totally psycho with your expectations (Powerbook won't make your teeth whiter or you armpits smell better) you'll love it. If you've used Windows for any length of time you'll love it that much more. It really is all they say it is, but you don't really know how good it is until you have one. Unfortunately you can't market them that way: "trust is it's good, buy one and you'll see."

a little but that says for macbook or macbook pro does this apply with mac mini?
Yes, as they share the same ports, like Mini Display Port and the analog/digital (optical) audio out port.

Generally, the times messages were sent, and sometimes the messages themselves, are stored for around two years for legal reasons, after which they're deleted. That's the case with text messages AFAIK, anyway.

That is correct. I've subscribed to their tethering plan but the personal hotspot item doesnt show up under settings/network. I'm guessing at this point that something about the jailbreak is suppressing this - or perhaps the mywi install?
I'd call up AT&T.
They might need to reset your accounts tethering access.

Going from 2mb Ram to 4mb Ram is only $100. VERY much worth it in my opinion. The CPU upgrade is more debatable. And I'd go for 256gb on the SDD (128gb is a bit limited for today's standards if you plan on storing music and video).
