Friends, my 140 was filed in late July 07 and it is at TSC. Going by the timeline posted on their site, I am likely to hear from TSC by late Jan 08 (i.e., six months after July 07). Any recent experiences about whether the online status changes on time or you first get the approval/RFE/rejection physically and then online status reflects the status afterwards?

Let us be very clear, we are MORE THAN WILLING to associate with any org that can be beneficial to us. One of the members of IV had established contact with USINPAC and it has been a very fruitful association
If anyone can do the same thing with any other org (could be 'Chinese Physicians Association', or 'Russians in America' or 'Canadians in USA' or even 'Americans for High Skilled Immigrants' - please note that I made up all the names, but please get the gist) please take the inititative and let us know how it goes.
Also note, that even if we associate with an org primarily working for a particular country, all our issues will benefit EVERYONE from every country. It is impossible to press for an amendment like 'Ability to file I485 without regard to visa number for Indian Nationals only'. The US Government doesn't allow that and neither will IV go in that direction.
The keywords here are 'publicity and exposure'. We really need that to protect our amendments in the Senate and the House Conference

Our checks were cashed today (both for me and my husband). Our application (I 140/I485 conc.) was July 2nd @NSC received by R Williams. They were cashed in Texas. We did not even get the receipt notices yet. Thus, the wait sounds longer for us.

i feel down recently and i scraped my hand on the concrete, and i am worried about finger printing which i have soon. My palm is scratched mostly and smy fingers on my left hand are also scratched, most of my right hand is okay but there are some scratches too.
Do they take prints of the whole hand or just the index finger?

Yes, you can port your EB3 priority date to EB2, even if the sponsor is not the same.

yes it can happen....
my case: we both filed under premium for our 7th year extension last year and hubby was processed in 5 days, but my H4 took 5 months together with RFE. RFE was stupid enough, they asked to see a copy of already approved H1 7th year.
My advice, wait and see what happens....
Sometimes they pick up H4 a week or so after h1. Good luck.

I am new to wpf. i am working on my project in WPF on 3d objects where i managed to add the functionality of zoom and rotate but struggling to add pan tool. can you please help me achieve that. I downloaded the 3dtools.dll from code plex website and added to reference in blend along with trackball codes therefore my zoom and rotate started working. But doesn't have pan functionality yet.

My employer applied for my PERM and i-140 in 2005 in the EB-2 category. Both were approved.
In 2007, I left my employer to pursue an MBA, and converted my H-1B to F-1 visa. Now I am planning to return to my old employer.
I would like to know whether
a) if my employer did not revoke my i-140, is my old PERM still vaild? Can I apply for a new I-140 and a new I-485 using my old approved PERM.
b) if my employer did revoke my i-140, is my old PERM still vaid? I know I can retain the priority date, but was wondering what is the status of my old PERM?
Any help is appreciated.

Hi all,

My company filed my I-485, EAD and AP together.(On Auguest 6th this year) They asked me for only one check for $745.
I was reading through a few posts and found that everybody had submitted 3 individual cheques for the same...
Is this ok? Or did my company do a blunder.
I have not yet recieved any receipts.
I just had one single check...Don't sweat..

I am planning to own a franchise on EAD along with my friend who is on H-1b. Please let me know if I can do it or not.

1. Have a route map .. so people know clearly where they need to go .. which direction .. and pause for how long.
2. The event needs to start on time .. 5-10 mins here and there is fine .. but we need to start on time.
3. Send all IV members in that area .. email templates about the rally that they need to forward all folks they know. If everyone gets 2 friends .. and those 2 get 2 more .. we have a large number.
Get folks from other immigration forums as well. We had chinese folks with us .. and I think they were from some other forum/group.
check will all local groups so that there can be a show of strength !!
