The Immigration and Nationality Act (Act) provides for the admission of different classes of nonimmigrants who are foreign nationals seeking temporary admission to the United States. The purpose of the nonimmigrant�s intended stay in the United States determines his or her proper nonimmigrant classification. Some classifications permit the nonimmigrant�s spouse and qualifying children to accompany the nonimmigrant to the United States or to join the nonimmigrant here. To qualify, a child must be unmarried and under the age of 21.
F-1 nonimmigrants, as defined in section 101(a)(15)(F) of the Act, are foreign students coming to the United States to pursue a full course of academic study in SEVP-approved schools. An F-2 nonimmigrant is a foreign national who is the spouse or qualifying child of an F-1 student.
M-1 nonimmigrants, as defined in section 101(a)(15)(M) of the Act, are foreign nationals pursuing a full course of study at an SEVP-approved vocational or other recognized nonacademic institution (other than in language training programs) in the United States. An M-2 nonimmigrant is a foreign national who is the spouse or qualifying child of an M-1 student.
SEVP is the DHS program that administers SEVIS. It ensures that government agencies have essential data related to nonimmigrant students and exchange visitors to preserve national security. SEVP provides approval and oversight to schools authorized to enroll F and M nonimmigrant students and gives guidance to both schools and students about the requirements for maintenance of their status.
ICE SEVP I-17 FAQs provide information for schools about SEVP certification, including background on SEVP and SEVIS, SEVP certification basics, an overview of the SEVP certification process, preparing the petition for SEVP certification, and preparing for a site visit.

If you are efiling EAD, you dont have to send photo graphs - USCIS will send FP notice to take a picture. That picture will appear on your EAD.
It is required that you send photos for your ead as they put your picture on the actual ead card. I did not apply for AP so I am not sure about the requirements for that. Good luck to you.

Depends. What is your domain? Are you or the person in question in US or trying to get to US. Health care and Biotech/Informatics is VERY vast field and lot depends on your domain expertise.

It appears there is a good allocation of 9.2billion dollars for Healthcare IT in the stimulus. Does it provide impetus for this field?
Can an IT company sponsor H1 B for Healthcare Informatics or any of Medical IT fields and if so what would be the occupational code (DOL). What are possible job designation in this field in USA?

Hi,
I filed my 485 in Dec 2004.My PD is June 2004.
Got married in 2005.
If (Less Probability..) i get my 485 approved and not able to add my Spouse's to my 485.
What would be my Options.
Please advice.
if you got married before the approval of I-485 you can file for your spouse's 485 even after your 485 id approved. Search for "follow to join" clause, this has it covered.

Is the namespace for your FontCollection.cs file the same as that of your Window1.xaml / cs file? The reason is, if I try the following code, I am able to see FontCollection appear in the data pane:

I am applying for a green card and my lawyer sent me a case number starting with an A and in the format : A-#####-##### for my PERM.
I tried http://pds.pbls.doleta.gov/ but it does not accept case numbers starting with "A".

My I-140 case status has been changed today to
"This case has been received from the State Department with a request we review it."
My I-140 was already approved a year back and my I-485 is pending.
My I-140 was applied based on my own labor not labor sub.
Does anybody have clue about this?
My H-1B 3 year extension (based on approved I-140) is pending with USCIS. Do this has to do anything with this?

My labor certification was filed in December '07 and is in the process of audit (Fragomen law firm issue). Meanwhile, there is news that my company is being sold off. Will I be able to continue my GC process if the company gets sold off but I am able to retain the same job and title.
Is anyone else facing a similar situation? What are my options here?

You dont have to apply for a COS as long as she is leaving US before her current I-94 expires. However, note that when she goes for her H4 interview, she might be asked to prove her H1 status by showing her employment details (recent pay checks, tax documents..) in addition to your employment documents before they give her the H4 Visa...This happened with one of my friends at Chennai embassy...Just wanted to give you a heads up on that....
