"home", "about" and "services" all link back to index, no content, no details about who is behind this, the examples provided in "portfolio" are not even clickable, and worst, the mail link doesn't work from index.html as it's misconfigured (emailto instead of mailto..), only from the portfolio page, but on this page, the link on the portfolio menu is wrong,
basically, you better hurry and get that site done if you're looking for jobs...

Yes he can travel during the transfer, in order to file the transfer he will have to show latest paystubs from his previous H-1 employer or he has to show that he reported to work and was hired before he can file for a transfer. To file a transfer the USCIS charges $500 +$320+ $750 ($1500 if the petitioner has more than 25 employees).

I think mom's in the forum can answer this better since i am sure many of them took short term disablity during delivery and subsequent months. My wife took it twice for the birth of our children and I dont think it is an issue.

Any experience? I am looking for somebody who is responsive and can handle difficult queries from USCIS, if need be. How much do they charge for complete EB case?

I have 2 H1B Transfer questions for clarification.
1. Can H1B Transfer be filed when H1B Extension is pending with the current employer?
Yes, a transfer could be filed while an extension is pending. This is the so-called anchor transfer. However, the transfer would be denied if the extension petition is withdrawn before the transfer is approved.
2. Do i need to have copy of I-140 approval notice for H1B Tranfer? The current employer does not share this document.
The 140 approval notice is not required unless this is a post six year transfer/extension.

You will apply at the local SSA (Social Security Administration) office and not at USCIS. Your card will be mailed to you within 15 days in most states.
Please forgive my ignorance Gurus but I want to know when EAD is approved, how would one receive a SSN? Does that need to applied separately at the local USCIS office? If yes, then as per my understanding this would mean a further delay before one can start work, since it takes time to receive a SSN.
Correct me if I am wrong.
I am referring a common scenario for all H4 visa holders who do not have a SSN.
Please share some knowledge on this.

I am in the same situation.. send docs to Dallas lockbox.
Applied for EAD renewal and documents reached on May7th.. checks not cased yet. I think the whole lockbox is creating the delays but one they get to your application it is relatively quick.
Do let me know when your checks are cased.

If I-140 has been approved, would it still be fine to apply for transfer from H1-B to F1 status by using form I-539 & university issued I-20 ? How long does it take to transfer status from H1B to F1 ? When can one start school �. Only after I-539 approval or after only applying ?

I am currently using my EAD and working for a company remotely from my house. I also have a Permanent Resident Status in Canada. I can work remotely from Canada and my company will not have any objections to it.
Since I am on 485/EAD can I work for a US company and be on their pay roll and live in Canada? What are the ramifications?

Honestly, if the Democrats lose this seat, it is because of taking their voter base for granted.
Hopefully, this will light a fire under them and make them more focused on their promises.
I agree that if they lose this seat, it will be the end of CIS and it will be hard to pass any meaningful legislation for us either.

You have to be "in-status" to apply for AOS. The IO wants evidence of your continued non-immigrant status before you filed your AOS. Also, remember AOS does not grant you a status. It just lets you not accrue unlawful presence

I've been waiting since 20th of December. Thats when they (NSC) received my documentation reply.. and still no news!!! Have heard that NSC were on vacation (December and January), they just returned ... That's too bad!

My wife and I both work for the same company and my PD date is 1 year behind my wifes. But she was born in Germany though she is currently an Indian citizen. Now that the ROW category has moved passed her PD's date (Nov 6th 2002), we plan to file under the ROW category using the Cross Chargability rules. Does anybody have any experience filing under this rule? We have her birth certificate (translated into English from German etc) and our lawyers will send us the list of documents i expect. So basically i am trying to find out what to expect when filing under this category. Are there any caveats, good to knows etc?
PS- I am also an Indian citizen but i will obviously piggy back on her application since my PD is not current.
I know for sure, that you can go ahead and file as your wife's country of birth is Germany. About other things,, contact a good attorney. Best wishes and congratulations
